During the month of October McDaniel Window and Door is teaming up with the American Cancer Society in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. For every FREE in-home estimate we do this month, we will donate $20 to the American Cancer Society in honor or memory of your loved ones. For every order over 8 windows we will increase the donation to $100!

McDaniel Window and Door Co. recently donated window panes to the Brooks High School Junior High Scholars' Bowl Team. The students made great creative re-uses of window panes which they sold at the Killen Founders day. The money raised was used to buy books. McDaniel Window and Door Co., is extremely grateful for our great community which continuously supports our local business. We loved to support the community in any way we can. We are glad we could help out a great cause.

Below, are two links to slideshows of the efforts on Thursday, April 28 and Friday, April 29 to collect donations for those whose lives were forever changed by the tornadoes that struck the northwest part of Alabama and other areas of the state.
Be sure to watch both of these slideshows and see the tremendous turnout we had on these two days! Immediately after it was announced that the collection of donations would be taking place, people from all over the Shoals area sprang into action and brought whole carloads of items to help those in need. People were touched in their hearts when they heard of the devastation that had taken place on the previous day. As the people called, asking if we were taking the donations, we could hear in their voices how much they wanted to help. It was inspiring to see how the people responded without any thought of their own names being in the limelight.
Equally inspiring were the volunteers who came by to devote both days to helping unload the donations from the cars and load them onto the delivery trucks. Below, is a list of those who we wish to thank for their efforts in making sure that the collection effort went along smoothly and efficiently.
